Vaamanan is being and released as Live in Telugu. It has Jai, Lakshmi Rai and Priya Anand in lead roles. Directed by I. Ahmed it is being brought out by Green Tree Entertainments. This is apparently Jai's first film as a solo hero after his roles in Chennai 600028 and Subramaniapuram. Vaamanan in Hindu mythology is someone small in nature but has done big and mighty deeds. Yuvan Shankar Raja has scored the tunes and it is a thriller.
It is about a remote camera placed in a helicopter that captures an entire shoot of a commercial but in the process gets stuck in a tree in a neighbouring farm house and captures the murder of a minister. There is a love story and a series of chase that happens eventually before the tape reaches the right hands. Rahman, Santhanam, Sampath Raj, Urvashi, Delhi Ganesh are the rest of the cast.
