Madhuri Dixit Replaces Vidya Balan In Ishqiya 2

It is official. Vidya Balan won't be in Ishqiya 2 and Madhuri Dixit in all probability could get into her shoes. Naseeruddin Shah and Arshad Warsi will be playing similar characters as in the original movie. Instead of casting Vidya Balan the producers are keen to cast Madhuri Dixit and talks between her and the producers are underway.

It's been said that Madhuri has asked for a hefty amount to play a role in 'Ishqiya 2'. Producers are now busy planning the whole mathematics of the film's budget to accommodate Madhuri Dixit. When specifically asked for the reason of Vidya Balan being omitted the filmmaker Vishal Bhardwaj said that Vidya Balan would not be cast in the sequel of 'Ishqiya' because there was no role for her.

It would be interesting to see whether Madhuri Dixit indeed accepts a role is 'Ishqiya 2'. With almost every sequel made in Bollywood not being able to make a mark this season looks like not being in the sequel of Ishqiya may turn put to be a blessing in disguise for Vidya Balan.
