He admits he was under immense pressure for his success rate but he adds the factor has never indulged in his creative freedom till date. He has stayed the same and if not has grown a notch stronger. His tough times have helped him better as a person and even as a filmmaker.
Recollecting the fate of legendary story tellers like Raj Kapoor, Hrishikesh Mukherjee and others belonging to the same league, he confesses that even they had faced blues and tough times in holding their grip in the industry. But he reminds that their ability to entertain audiences in their unique ways have always helped them bounce back accordingly.
Bazmee however doesn't want to compare himself with such stalwarts but just says that he draws inspiration from them, both on personal and creative counts. He is presently taking a mini break of sorts basking in the glory of his latest directorial. He had found the schedules of managing 3 films at a time too stressful and gruesome. But he maintains that nothing matches the feeling of acceptance from the audiences. He'd ultimately sleep well only if he has satisfied the audiences' apetite for entertainment.
As the director signs off for a comforting holiday, here we are expecting more blockbusters in the offing from the director in the upcoming years.
