Debutant actor Uday, of Facebook fame, that is releasing in March sounds a bit morose about the functioning of film industry and the opportunities for newcomers but the plus point is, he is very determined.
He says sternly, "I'm not here for money, I'm going to hang around here till I die, cinema is my life. One needs a solid backing to make it here, there is a difference in how you commute, a car, cycle, by walk, a bus..a person who comes from an ordinary background will take a long time to reach his goal and also there is no hard and fast rule that everyone will like us. True, one needs a lot of patience, in fact one becomes a patient by the time you make your debut and the film sees the light."
The engineering graduate from East Godavari had earlier worked as an assistant director with Kuchupudi Venkat and was spotted by RP Patnaik; he adds, "I need to motivate, push and establish myself..all on my own."
