With big releases like Attarintiki Daredi and Yevadu being postponed, it is now a phase where smalltime producers and makers are expected to make hay. As many as 4 films released the previous week with Adda being the major grosser of them all. While 1000 Abaddalu was panned by critics, movies like Dalam and Jagadguru Adi Shankara had managed to win critical acclaim more than audience appreciation.
Athadu Aame O Scooter, the Vennela Kishore-Priyanka Chabra starrer, supposed to release months earlier, has managed to bag a slot in the theatres this week which will have its task cut out as it faces stiff competition from another release this Friday, the Mohan Krishna Indraganti's Anthaku Mundu Aa Taruvatha that is Sumanth Ashwin's second film after his debut Tunnega Tuneega turned out to be a dud.
Though odds will surely pick AMAT over the former, one can't undermine the unpredictability of this trade that has the ability to make or break careers within days.
