Malayalam film Avan is being dubbed as Athadu. Prominent singer KJ Yesudas's son Vijay Yesudas is the hero. This is his debut film, another lead character is being played by Bala. Nandan Kavil is the director. It is being produced on Kanakasai Films banner by Bonthu Kanaka Sarada and Bonthu Kiran Reddy.
The story is about how the hero due to some circumstances becomes a murderer and when there arises a situation when he has to kill his childhood friend what does he do? Rajamani has composed music for five songs. Just like in real life Vijay Yesudas too appears as a singer. there are many twists and turns in the story, the heroine is Muktha George. Anoop Menon, Jagathy Sreekumar, Riyaz Khan, Kottayam Nazir are the cast. Dialogues are by Rajashri, songs by Bonda Venkataswamy Naidu.
