Lachamma, a party number in Ishq may not have become another Kolaveri Di but it has it's own charm. Sung by Nitin, Anoop Rubens and Murali, the concept was of the former's and got a good deal of attention. After having loaded it on Youtube, Nitin has been in an upbeat mood, the film is releasing on the 17th.
The actor has neither lost his charm nor his spirit and is working with gusto for each of his films. Known for putting his 100 percent for all his movies, Nitin was clueless and didn't know where he was going wrong with his career for sometime.
"I realised I was too young to do mass stories and since love has a demand throughout the year, I've chosen Ishq. At the beginning of my career I gave 3 industry big hits, at that point of time I was never on a high and never got carried away..so this doesn't matter either. The scripts could be wrong or it could be a technical or creative failure but I never was blamed, I worked really hard, on my body, dances, looks and didn't leave any cause for complaint my side. One good film would put an end to all criticism."
He explains that his first bilingual Adavi was supposed to be different and unique, but as the film progressed, lot of things changed. He was hapless and couldn't voice his apprehensions as the film was already in progress.
What about his eight pack, did it make any impact? He quips, "I believe that in every film you should do something for the audience..eight pack was one such effort. At that time it was the trend in the Hindi film industry. I am aware of my series of flops but I got a strong will power and no bad film can break it. I know I will bounce back one day and I have worked hard even harder after each of my films flopped."
Nitin says once pack up is announced, he doesn't keep in touch with industry people but that isn't a conscious effort. "I like to mingle with people who are not from the industry after working hours, I like going to coffee shops or chilling out with my family and friends.
After Mogudu, Gopichand is becoming a real life husband, I guess after Ishq I might fall in love..going by the title but I have no qualms on either an arranged or a love marraige. Marriage is definitely on the cards but as of now I have a huge crush on Sonam Kapoor, she is cute and also hot."
"Vikram Kumar who has done 13B with Madhavan has directed Ishq. There are many love stories but a film becomes special only when the chemistry between the lead pair works out as real and natural. The scenes should be fresh and that is what makes Ishq different. There are no cinematic dialogues and I stress that cinematographer PC Sreeram's work has been beatific, he is the real hero of the film, you see his work in every scene and when such quality adds to the content, it obviously becomes a great product," avers the actor.
Nitin elaborates on the movie apart from heaping praises on his co-star Nithya. "Nithya Menen is a natural and a spontaneous actor, she doesn't rehearse scenes like I do. I'm a mix of both, I follow method and add something of mine but she is on her own and brightens the screen with her presence, there is a certain charm about her and I guess we made a good pair.
About the music, after Orange, I haven't heard all the songs of a particular movie being a big hit and making a great impact, I'm confident that the songs in Ishq will be remembered for a long time.
