The much-anticipated music of Maheshbabu's 'Pokiri', produced-directed by Puri Jagannath and presented by Smt. Indira under the banner of Vaishno Academy, was released at a function held at Hotel Viceroy, Hyderabad. Superstar Krishna released the music and Maheshbabu received the first cassette. Also present on the occasion were director Puri Jagannath, Ileana (who plays the female lead in the film), Vijaya Nirmala, Namrata Shirodkar, Sanjay, Manjula, Bhagavan, Danaiah and Chalasani Ramesh. Aditya Music has acquired the music rights of the film.

In his brief speech, Superstar Krishna hoped that the film would be the biggest hit among Maheshbabu starrers.

Vijaya Nirmala said, "Maheshbabu works hard on his roles, without revealing the efforts he puts in. He did the same for this film too."

"The music will be available on the shelves from the morning of April 6," informed Puri Jagan. He appealed to fans not to resort to piracy or illegal online streaming.
