Annapurna Studios today (Saturday, March 25) saw the muhurat of Sri Venkateswara Creations' new venture 'Munna,' directed by debutante Vamshi Paidipally.

Starring Prabhas and Ileana in the lead, the muhurat shot (featuring Prabhas) was directed by VV Vinayak. The clap was sounded by NTR, while Venkatesh switched on the camera.

KS Ramarao, KC Sekhar Babu, C. Kalyan, Paras Jain, NV Prasad, Bujji, Ashok Kumar, Arjuna Raju, Surender Reddy, Prabhudeva, MS Raju, AM Ratnam, Gemini Kiran, Chanti Addala, D. Siva Prasad Reddy and Valluripalli Ramesh were also present at the muhurat.

Speaking on the occasion, Dil Raju said, "Vamshi Paidipally, who debuted as an associate director with 'Eeswar', is making his debut as a director for the film. The regular shooting will commence in the third week of April. The film, a love and family drama, is slated for a Dasara release."

This is the first time that Prabhas is working with a new director. He is playing a university student in the film.

Munna co-stars Prakash Raj, Kota Srinivasa Rao, Rahul Dev, Tanikella Bharani, Venu Madhav and Posani Krishna Murali. It has music by Harris Jayaraj and cinematography by Shyam K. Naidu.
